I'm researching for a book about my father, Fred Bright, pilot in 462 Sqdn M.E. I have a lot of books about the history of Bomber Command, and the history of 466/462 Squadrons. What I am looking for, is a description of the conditions of flying in and out the Middle East, allowing for the harsh climatic conditions. Instead of fog and low cloud out of Britain, crews flying out of North Africa must had face hazardous conditions related to sandstorms, etc. I am not a pilot, but have a basic understanding of flight procedures, and hazards. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
